17th Annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind and Visually Impaired of North Texas

17th Annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind and Visually Impaired of North Texas

Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce Special Event

Over 40 visually impaired children in North Texas and their families enjoyed Easter this year like they never have before, hunting for beeping eggs.

Affectionately named, “BEEP” this beeping Easter egg hunt for the blind was the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce’s 17th year.

“We have created an event the entire family can enjoy together with activities that are specially designed for them. It’s something our chamber and community volunteers look forward year after year” Beep Chair, Heather Waldron

This extraordinary, emotional event allows visually impaired children to hunt and explore for over 200 specially designed “beeping” eggs as well as other sensory activities: Pottery station, face painting, mini horses, piñatas, and bounce houses.

Volunteers from The Dallas Junior Chamber and Foundation, the Lake Highlands Family YMCA, and The American Foundation for the Blind.
